Laminated glass consists of two or more panes of glass bonded together with one or more layers of film. These films have various properties such as energy or sound insulation. The main difference between a laminate glass and a simple float glass is not its mechanical properties but its breaking behaviour. A laminate glass does not collapse uncontrollably while remaining in place until it is replaced by a new one.
