Radiation protection glass panes are glass panes in which a sufficient amount of lead oxide (PbO) is added to the original mixture of raw materials during the manufacturing stage. This component has the ability to dramatically increase the ability of the glass pane to absorb ionizing (which is extremely harmful) radiation (x-rays, gamma rays, etc.).
